I have been married for 9 months today!!!!!!!! I am more in love than I have ever been before. I can't believe how quickly time has passed. This first part of married life has been amazing and I am looking to many, many, many more years of wedded bliss!!!! I love you, my dear husband! Thanks for loving me and making every single day full of love and smiles!! You are my soul-mate!

And in other news: We got a trip together today. We weren't supposed to, really, but sometimes God chooses to bless us in unexpected ways. I had been sitting airport standby and knew I would get this particular trip. It's a decent trip, really. So, I was just waiting for them to call. My hubby knew he'd get called for something and traffic made him decide to come to the airport early. When he got there, another position was available, so he called. They didn't give it to him at first, but not long after, they called back and told him it wouldn't do any harm for him to have a trip with me! Wasn't that so nice of them?! So, we have a 19 hr. overnight in ONT and 18hrs. in GEG tomorrow night. We get home around 3:30pm on Saturday, so it's a great trip! Today, the weather is just about perfect, so I think we'll spend part of the afternoon enjoying the outdoors. Maybe this is a sign that spring is on its way!

My friend had her babies! I still haven't had  a chance to see her (or them). They were born yesterday. Their names are Lucy and Lily. I can't imagine how adorable they must be. I am so anxious to meet them. This weird thing, called work, keeps getting in the way ;)

We signed up for a "movie-by-mail" program from Blockbuster yesterday. It's free for the first two weeks. So, we've been adding movies to the list of the one's we'd like to see, and are anticipating the first ones to be in our mailbox when we return from our trip. What fun!!

Well, i'm gonna enjoy the day - I hope you all do as well!!!!! Until next time!

I'm MADLY in love with my hubby. Sometimes, I'm just overwhelmed with gratefulness in my heart and I just had to let it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LUV U BABE!

Another day, another trip.....and we're home again - for a day and a half Nothing TOO exciting to report from this trip. Sunday feels like so long ago. Traveled with two of the THE BEST flight attendants in the industry! Slept in LAX and MHT. . .one colder than the other.

People I'm only MOSTLY jealous of: 1. Anyone who is related to me (by blood or by marriage) who happens to be leaving on Sunday to go on a Cruise to the warm places of the world Luv ya Cndygrl2210!!!!!

Unexpected moments in my week: 1. Snow in Tucson, AZ. I wasn't there to see it, but I'm ok with that 2. My friend Thomas, who greeted our plane in MDW today. He lives and works in LUV. He was one of my trainers. Cool guy, cool shoes. 3. A request for sugar-free Cranberry Juice on the plane. Hmmm. . .4. A canceled flight resulting in riding (not working) to MHT from BWI last night (That deserves TWO smilies)

Famous People I saw this week: 1. The cousin of Joe Rogan (the host of Fear Factor). Actually, he works for SWA - if you call what he does work. 2. We might have had an actor (or the brother of one) one our plane, but we're not 100% sure. An actor from "The Devil Wears Prada", or a guy who looks a LOT like him sat in 22C on the way from SAN to OAK on Sunday.
Ok, you got me. I probably didn't see any FAMOUS people this week.

Anyone catch on, yet, that I'm in a weird mood?

No solid plans for tomorrow. I still haven't gotten to the hospital to see my friend who is (I think) still pregnant with twins. I'll call her mom in the morning to find out for sure, and I'll go visit, if she's still there.

I am SO excited for February to get here. A friend of mine is opening a store especially for petite women, much like myself. It's in Nashville, and wouldn't you know, I just happened to get a Nashville overnight in February!!! I didn't plan it that way, but I'm NOT giving that trip away. It'll be great! The second night is a 20 hr. overnight in TUS. ALSO, Valentine's Day is in February, and I happen to enjoy that holiday a LOT! I have a feeling that this year is going to be X-tra special

I'm sure I have more to say, but not now. Tonight will be a jam-packed evening! American Idol, State of the Union, AND a chance to find better overnight's for Feb. (They release the unclaimed trips tonight at 10pm and I'm determined to get something good

PS - FYI - We don't serve sugar-free cranberry juice on the plane.....

Life is ironic, sometimes Yesterday, my hubby and I both started a reserve block for work. We are usually right next to each other in the order to be called, but this month, his trips have been better than mine, so yesterday there were several people separating us. I was 4th to be called and he was 13th. So, Wednesday night, as we looked at the list, we were both sure that I would be gone for the next three days and he would have time at home. Enter: yesterday. I woke up around 8am and saw that I was now second. So, I got in the shower and woke up my husband because he was going to have to drive me to the airport. Sure enough, I got called. But, not for a trip - just to sit at the airport. (I was secretly glad. Ok, maybe not quite so secretly. There was a NASTY trip up for grabs, and I really didn't want it. I didn't get it ) So, I went to the airport to begin sitting at 11:30am. I had to sit there until 4:30pm. I sat quietly in the corner, hoping not to get called. (Have I mentioned how comfortable our bed at home is?! ) Around 2:30pm, my husband showed up to sit as well. He was to be there until 7:30pm. So, at 4:30pm, I left with plans to come pick him up in a few hours. Not long after, he got called on a three day trip. So, off he went. PDX last night and BUR tonight. At least his overnights are decent. It's funny, though. I'm the one that should be on a trip. But, instead, here I am, at home, drinking coffee, catching up with all of you, doing laundry and thinking about starting the overhaul on the office. I love my hubby SO SO SO much and I appreciate all the hard work he does to take care of our family. He is so dedicated to put us in a position to purchase our first home this summer, so that is exciting and makes being apart worth it! He is such an awesome leader for our home. I completely love him and respect his leadership. He's an amazing man. For those of you who have never met him - you're missing out!
I don't know how I feel about getting a trip today. Oh, I won't mind if I DO get one, but there is so much I could do if I stayed put! I was thinking about going to visit my friend who is in the hospital and VERY pregnant with twins. (Now that I've typed that, I'll get a trip..... ) She is in the hospital with the hopes that she will avoid delivering until next week. Both the babies and the momma are doing well. I talked to "grandma" last night who dropped everything to come to PHX and take care of things while momma is in the hospital. She is planning to stay until the end of April. I told her that she was what we call a snowbird She doesn't mind, though. She has 5 year old grandson that she is helping to care for, and I KNOW she is having a ball. Soon, two baby girls will join the clan. What fun that will be!
My membership at the gym is sure getting a workout. I have increased my time and intensity and I'm seeing results I know, I shouldn't be surprised. Eating well, exercising and getting enough sleep SHOULD contribute to a healthy body, but sometimes I feel like I'll never be able to accomplish my goals. I'm starting to have a different outlook, especially when I step on the scale and put the measuring tape around my waist. It's actually kinda fun
Well, I suppose I should go for now and make the most of the moments I have here at the house. I wish everyone a great day!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! We just finished up another trip and we have the WHOLE day off today It was another trip with the three family members, so it made it fun and a lot easier than traveling with people you don't know. My husband and I actually worked 6 days in a row!!!! It's not bad, though. The last trip we were on was the hardest trip of the month, so now it's behind us and we can look forward to one more trip with the whole family. That will be next week with LAX and MHT overnights. I know that most of you don't have a CLUE where those places are, but that's ok. One place will be pretty warm and one place will be pretty chilly.
This was quite an eventful trip. We had a TUS overnight the first night, so we spent the night at the parents house. We had wonderful food and played with the puppies....a LOT of fun. My lover and I went to the gym in the morning, too, which was nice. I actually am getting to the point where I miss it if I don't go. Our second day was busy. Six take offs and landings (that's a lot for one day - but we did it!) We spent the night in LAX. I love the French Onion soup there, so I ordered some via room service. They have a policy there, that if it's not delivered in 30 mins or less, it's free. I don't know what happened, but I had to wait more than 30 mins., so it was free That was a nice surprise!
Yesterday, we had another busy day - but we were excited to be making our final landing in PHX. We worked out for quite a while in the morning and then got ready for the day. Unfortunately, I discovered a cockroach in our hotel room and brought it to the attention of the manager. So, next time we stay there, we'll be dining for free I thought that was nice, seeing that we don't personally pay for the rooms.
I had some interesting passengers yesterday. I don't know how many of you have ever been on Southwest, or how many of you know much about mixed drinks, but I'll share the humorous stories anyway. One guy asked for "Beefeater Gin" with an olive. (I guess that Beefeater Gin is a special kind of gin - we only sell cheap liquor. And an olive?! Please. I'm sure he didn't even pay $100 for his ticket...of course we don't have olives to put in the drinks. They're lucky if we have lemons and limes! So I go to the next row..."Malibu Rum, pineapple juice, and a pineapple wedge, please." WHAT?! Ok, people. We have a beverage menu in our onboard magazine.....NONE of those things are in there. Hmmm People crack me up. I was beginning to feel like it was my first day on the job and someone had set me up.
So, on our second leg, we had pushed back from the gate and the captain makes an announcement that the reason for our small delay was that a certain engine indicator light wasn't working properly, but after a conversation with our ground mechanics they had determined that it had nothing to do with affecting the safety of flight, so as soon as the plane was cleared, we be in the air. Well, one certain lady on the plane would have NOTHING to do with that. She wanted OFF THE PLANE!!! So, we contacted the pilot, we returned to the gate, off she went, and FINALLY we were in the air. I guess she told my husband that she had had a scary experience previously and she wasn't comfortable staying on a plane after an announcement like that. To be honest, I'd rather have her get off rather than have a panic attack in the air!
I totally trust the pilots with my life. I know that they wouldn't make a decision to fly the plane if it wasn't 100 percent safe. I know that if I go down, they're going down, too. I don't really think about things like that. I guess that's why I have the job I have and she has the job she has. Oh well. I hope she makes it home ok.
After that, the rest of the day was pretty uneventful. We made it home and went straight to bed. We were exhausted. In fact, as I type this, my hubby is still in bed That's ok, though, it's his day off.
I think I'm going to get ready for the day now and go shopping a bit. Have a great day, everyone!
